Ms Mellor, Queensbury Academy
I began this with some trepidation as the group members who had tackled it had written it off as "this year's Sputnik", and I didn't especially enjoy "Small Change for Stuart". Despite the familiar love-hate relationship between the cousins, there was both invention and warmth in the story. Colour coded character traits, selfishness bleaching the landscape, and the final rainbow blend was a charming way of conveying a message of tolerance and cooperation for younger readers.
