The Smell of Other People's Houses
This has been my favourite book so far because, although it talks about a depressing subject, it wasn't overly deep or unrealistic. The characters were interesting although I felt Dora's character wasn't described in as much detail so I found it difficult to relate to her.I loved the way it was written as it perfectly captured humanity's flaws and selfishness. Each character's perspective linked with another, so in a way it was fun working out how the stories linked. Before reading this book I did not know about the poverty of some places in Alaska, in the past, which was interesting because their lives weren't cared about back then. Furthermore although it was set in the past the style of this book seemed modern.Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it didn't drag on and felt original.
