The Bone Sparrow

I really enjoyed experiencing The Bone Sparrow as reading it from the perspective of a young boy with that sort of lifestyle really opened my eyes to the challenges our world still faces. I generally assumed that Sushi was a ten year-old boy and I really believe that he actually wrote the story as the author made it so believable. I identified with Queeny the most, as the way she was a slightly bossy older sister was relatable to me! Over all I found the story line convincing and the fact that it is based in refugee camps was really eye opening as it isn't an issued thats commonly portrayed through books. Whether or not The bone Sparrow wins, I think its is a great read!
