The Bone Sparrow

To start off I must say that this book almost brought me to tears. It was so heart-warming to know that someone is trying to get refugees noticed. The book is the best by far (from the ones I read) and definitely, has a good motive. On the downside, however, it sort of loses its plot during the middle but soon regains it as it nears the end.

The book is about a refugee named Subhi who loves stories and is being held in an immigration detention centre -prison more like’ - and has a best friend Eli. Things start to change however and he meets a girl called Jimmie from the other side of the fence…

Overall I would definitely recommend this book (in fact I already recommended it to my sister) and would give this outstanding book a 5/5
