Salt to the Sea
I honestly can't believe how amazing 'Salt to the Sea' was. It gives you real life experiences through fiction and I really like that.
I thought that Joana was a really relatable character because of what she has gone through with her life and her cousin. I also believe that Emilia is relatable because of her bad family life when she moves in with Else.
However, I thought that the characters Alfred and Florian were not portrayed as well as the other two characters. Even though they were extraordinary. I still believe they could of had more of a back story; in particular Alfred.
I enjoyed Florian's backstory as he had a bad work life.
I also enjoyed the slight romance triangle between Joana, Florian and Emilia.
All in all I would definitely recommend this book to my friends!
