Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

A dog, normal to the naked eye but to Prez, Sputnik is not normal at all. In fact he’s a human being disguised as a dog to save the world. Apparently Earth has less than 2 weeks to live before it shrunk down to the size of a tennis ball. Prez and Sputnik need 10 reasons why Earth should stay a planet before everyone and everything in it evaporates from the universe.
Release your inner kid! This funny, childish book will make you laugh as you go on a journey throughout the world to see if Prez and Sputnik actually save Earth before it’s too late. See though Prez’s eyes as he goes from silent to talkative, watch as looks for his Granddad and laugh at Sputniks harmless actions which end up hurting everyone.
The ending of this book will always be mystery to me. They were supposed to find 10 reasons, but the tenth confused me - a post-it note with the number 10 on it.
My favourite character in this book was Sputnik because he was weirdly dangerous yet harmless in everyone else’s eyes. I found him to be childishly funny and entertaining.
My favourite part in this book was when Sputnik turned a toy light sabre into a real one at Annabel’s birthday party. After this she tried to cut everything in half and ended up cutting a tree in half which was put back together by Sputnik and Prez that same night by the law of gravity.
The only thing I did not like about this book is that it did not seem to have any depth or meaning. Unlike other books that I have read it felt like something my younger brother would read.
