The Stars at Oktober Bend

The Stars at Oktober bend was an alright book to read but it didn't really make a lot of sense for the first 25 chapters and I had to put it down a few times because it wasn't very enjoyable to read. However the last couple of chapters were gripping and it was like the writer had remembered why she was writing this story. It is about a girl called Alice who was brutally attacked when she was twelve, she now lives stuck in "twelveness" as she calls it when she should actually be 15. In the story it says she had to relearn most things and in her chapters the wording and the way it has been written has evidently been thought about a lot. Manny is a refugee living with lovely people who care about him. Overall it is quite a good book that has a very well written ending unlike some of the other books.
