Saint Death

The first few chapters of this book aren’t straight into the story which I don’t really like but they are quite important. I like how much of a cliffhanger this book gives you and makes you not want to put it down. The main character in this book has to gamble back his friend's life as he is an expert at the Mexican card game but after getting addicted to the money he’s getting, he suddenly loses it all. Which forces him to rely on saint death, a model of a skeleton which is believed to be holy. Instead of relying on saint death, he steals money from her which gets him back later in the story. I like this story because his friend is relying on him so much and if he loses the money, his friend will be killed by a Mexican gang. I would give this story 4/5 stars.
