After the Fire
In my opinion, After the Fire was an incredibly well written and thought-provoking book. It followed the story of a seventeen year old girl who had been through a very traumatic experience. Throughout the book, the girl is telling her story through therapy so it alternates between the present day and the past. I think that it challenges the rules of religion and how one corrupt leader can manipulate people into thinking they're doing the right thing. I think that it also tackles real-life issues concerning the government and how as citizens we should question whats happening and not follow blindly like sheep. Overall, I think it was an incredible book with a complex and interesting storyline.
