Miss P, Witham St Hughs Academy
Thornhill tells the tragic stories of two girls. Ella's story is told through black and white pictures; Mary's is told in a diary form. Their two tales twist and turn together in a dramatic build up to a horrifying ending.
I thought the combination of the text and pictures worked well together. The dark style of the illustrations and the black pages added to the mysterious and sad themes of the story.
Thornhill is a great book and would be suitable for Y6 upwards.
