Beyond the Bright Sea

Beyond the Bright Sea is set in the Elizabeth Islands. It is a book of action and intrigue. Crow is a girl eager to unravel the secrets of her mysterious past and she goes through a set of adventures with her "father/founder" and her "teacher/neighbour".

Crow, as a baby, was abandoned. She was barely out of her mother's tummy before being set adrift on a boat. Crow will risk everything to discover her back story.

You'll soon discover that this is the type of book that gives you jitters when you read it. I think Beyond the Bright Sea's a very complete story because it has a cunning main character, fascinating exploits which build up for the climax and a soothing end. You can't stop reading because this is a phenomenal book which will steal your breath.

The story is told from the perspective of the main character. You're trying to join the dots of Crow's past and every time you stop reading, you're left with the feeling of wanting more. Five out of five.
