Creative. Exiting. Here are two words I think that surmise the book 'Railhead'. Although I didn't think that I would enjoy this book, as I don’t normally enjoy futuristic novels, I found it engaging and captivating. I also enjoyed the imagination used to create this story as Philip Reeve has created a whole new world (or should I say worlds) and managed to contain them in one book. Although I would have liked to find out even more about the main characters, simple things such as their favourite colour, food etc. I believe that the overall personality of the characters worked for the situations they were in. I also liked the relationships between the different characters and found the way they reacted to each other believable. Moreover, I loved Reeve’s attention to detail when describing the settings and even occasionally mentioning the old language of the people. I have read many books in which the author has created a new language, whether a few words or the whole language, and have tried to create one myself so I give him credit for making the network seem more real. Overall I loved this book and would highly recommend it to most people I know.
