Salt to the Sea

In my opinion, Salt to sea was an amazing, but confusing book. I ended up reading it 3 times, because the first time I didn't quite follow the characters changing so fast, every page or 2. The last time was purely for enjoyment! I found that I really attached to some of the characters, I am sure everyone will relate to at least one of the 4 characters. This novel has great detail, but to my disappointment, I found that it came to an abrupt stop. I really liked how it was based on a true story and how they gave you facts about it at the end. It was beautifully written and I would strongly recommend this book to people aged 13 and over. This book is filled with mystery and I often struggled to work out the secrets that where slowly dripped into the narrative. Each of the characters has their own secrets and back story, that you simply must read to find out.
