Auronyo, King Edward VI Grammar School
Salt to the Sea
A powerful historical novel with a set of intriguing characters that you soon grow attached to. The use of different perspectives allows for riveting plot developments that add to the drama, suspense and historical truths. This is a great book about a disaster that many have not even heard of, unafraid of shying away from the horrors of it and the dreadful position of those who did not make it as far as some of the main characters. It is a fitting tribute to those that died then, showing that even now people care.
