Judit, Nijntje

Railhead

I really liked this book, though at the beginning I think that I might have set too high expectations, as everyone told me how great this book was, so I started with thinking that it was going to be a super good book (which it turned out to be at the end). I thought that the start wasn't too slow, but it wasn't one of the fastest ones either, but when I got to like chapter 5 it was already beginning to become interesting. I thought that the way the story advanced and continued was really nice and I really liked the way, that the author had invented some words to get more into the theme of the story and the characters. I don't think I've read any science fiction books yet, but I thought that this one was a really good book to start with. I enjoyed the way that the story was narrated from many different perspectives and that almost all of the characters narrated a part of the story. All of the characters seemed quite realistic and I could clearly imagine them. This story was also pretty unpredictable and the characters only said half of the things, so you had to wait till the end to find out everything and the whole truth. At the end I had no clue who the main character would side with, but when he chose his side I wasn't really that surprised. I would rate this book a 9.5/10 because it was super interesting and at the end of the book I wanted to continue to the next book, but at the same time I had a feeling of satisfaction, that I had finished the book and that I actually felt that the story ended, which didn't happen for most of the other stories.
