Henry, King's Hall

The Bone Sparrow

The Bone Sparrow is a thrilling book about what an immigration detention centre is really like. The main character is a boy named Subhi. He is an innocent child craving the life outside the fences. I really liked this book as it was really vivid and you could picture every second of it really clearly. This was the book chosen for my book club, and rightly so. The action and drama can be really built up, and the suspense drop really worked, and it was always a big exciting one, unlike the small ones that I have read in other books. This book really got to me and at times it is really emotional. Reading this book not only thrills you, but innovates, excites and educates.
