The Smell of Other People's Houses
'The smell of other people's houses', is an extraordinary book set in 1970 Alaska. It follows four children, Ruth, who wants to be remembered, Dora, who wants to be invisible, Hank, who wants to run away and Alyce, who can't bring herself to leave. The story of these four people intertwine with each other unexpectedly and the way that the author makes this happen is absolutely magical. This piece of fiction is a masterpiece and i loved every second of it. By the time that you finish reading this book, you feel almost physically, if not emotionally, attached to each and every character. I adore this book and i completely and utterly recommend everyone to read it. You will love it!
