Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
"Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth" is an hilarious story of a girl that only appears to Prez, the protagonist, as a human girl and to everyone else, she is a dog. This is probably the most clever and witty book I have read so far!
Sputnik tells Prez that unless they can gather reasons of why Earth is interesting, aliens will commence the "Big Shrink" turning Earth "into the size of a golf ball."
My favourite character is Sputnik because it is funny how he reacts to a human as a dog and that nothing is impossible as there are apparently manuals for everything, ranging from sheds to mobility scooters.
In the acknowledgements at the end of the book,it explains that "Sputnik" in Russian, translates to "companion" in English. I thought this was extremely clever as it made the novel seem almost more involving.
In conclusion, I really like this book and would recommend this to boys and girls between the ages of 7-14. A really good book!
