Thomas, St Augustines Catholic College
Beyond the Bright Sea
While I definitely enjoyed reading this book, although the plot took a while to get started and kept up the repetition of certain parts. However once the plot started moving, some of these things began to be explained as to why they were so important; an example is the focus on the names of the characters at the start and later helps the reader understand the sentiment of the protagonist’s view on names. Definitely a read in the mystery genre and would recommend for those interested in that genre, with a hidden treasure on a lepers’ island, and the search for the protagonist’s family and with it; their name.
