Joseph, Sir Harry Smith Community College

Where the World Ends

I really liked this book and although I am awful for correcting grammar, I just about managed to put that aside - it was in Scots dialect after all!

The plot - taken from a true story - shows both Quill's subconscious and his waking state as one. I find that this helps the reader to get to grips with the subtle chaos setting in - without saying so directly.

I couldn't see the twist about John coming until it happened but couldn't imagine it any other way once I knew! That - for me - defines a good story.
