Agnes, Reading Realm

Salt to the Sea

This book is about four young people who get caught up in the German refugee crisis(during WWII), and their strange backrounds. The book covers some sensitive and disturbing topics but all the same an absolutely excellent piece of historical fiction. Unique to a book of its type, it talks about a real accident so horrific that barely anyone reported on it (during WWII) and barely anyone knew of it. This book enlightens us to a greater perspective of war, and I would recommend it to anyone in a single heart beat.
