Salt to the Sea
Hallo, Sveiki, and Cześć. I am here to review the fantastic and historical tale of 'Salt to the Sea' by Ruta Sepetys. It tells you the story of four people from the frightful era of World War 2. These people are each from different nations, Poland, Lithuania, Germany and East Prussia; and the main storyline is about these young peoples' adventure to board the Wilhelm Gustloff, a ship promising escape. Their main threat is the terrifying forces of the Soviet Union, they only have 2 choices, flee, or perish at their hands. But when hope is found, tragedy strikes.
This was a captivating story, naturally sorrowful at tell. Very informative, I learnt a lot about WW2 from a refugee's point of view.
