Niamh, St Helen and St Katharine

Rook is a book I started with low expectations but after I read two pages I couldn’t put it down; the truthfulness of it was gripping, the story kept me on the edge of my seat and still kept the perfect amount of reality. I loved how the rook progressed with Nicky - getting better and worse with his situation.
I enjoyed the book so much I read it more than three times! It is very meaningful and I saw something new every time I read it. I would recommend it to children over ten as it does have some bad language but it is a very good book.
