The Stars at Oktober Bend
The Stars at Oktober Bend is a very difficult book to read. The poetry is a barrier, blocking understanding of the book and the storyline. After being explained by another person, I realised the plot is actually quite good, but it was written in a way that ruins the story.
I think that the poetry spoils the book, and the deliberate and unusual punctuation just ruins it. If the book was written 'normally', I would have maybe enjoyed it.
It had potential but it didn't deliver.
