Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth (by Frank Cottrell Boyce) was an amazing book. I really enjoyed reading about Prez and Sputnik's adventures and the mischief they got up to pursuing their mission to save the world from becoming a pocket-sized planet. Both Sputnik and Prez are hilarious characters and together they were a great duo. The way Sputnik could change concealer into invisibility cream, a tractor into a car that can go faster than lightning or a TV remote into something that can stop people in their tracks was definitely a highlight in the whole book. However, with all these funny points there were a few serious notes especially surrounding Prez and his grandad which gave the book the best balance of serious chapters every so often but generally the humour that such brilliant characters bring. I really enjoyed the illustration element. I would rate this book a 9/10.
