Andrew, Ermysted's

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

This book was very entertaining and predictable. It was nice to read an easy plot so you can really understand what was going on. I really liked the fact that a dog-like creature can teach somebody so much. The plot being that they had to find 10 things worth doing or seeing or else Earth will be removed by planetary clearance creates a real excitement for the reader and makes it feel like a roller-coaster ride. The added, frequent humour is the cause for why I rate Sputnik so highly. The addition of Granddad's sea chest was also effective, and so was the illustrations as they ensured that your interpretations are not too dissimilar to how the author wanted them to be.
