Beyond the Bright Sea

I thought this book was well written because it kept you gripped the whole way through. It lets itself down towards the end as it does not finish the story. You never find out who Crow's brother is - you have to guess. Also it does not feel finished to me. Apart from that, Beyond the Bright Sea is a very good book with an interesting plot. I would recommend it to 10-14 year olds and rate it four stars. This is because it is quite an easy read but complicated plot and the story is not quite finished. This book made me think about how family and friends are more important than treasure and what it is like for no one to touch you in case you pass on a bad disease.
