The Journey is a vividly illustrated story of a family's journey to safety, crossing many borders and oceans, in an attempt to seek the safety we take for granted everyday.
I think that this story is vital for comprehending the terrors and obstacles that refugees must overcome in order to seek the safety that we take every day for granted, and the sacrifices they must make in order to maintain a roof over their heads.
I also like the medium that Francesca Sanna has used, and how the illustrations tell the story, rather than the other way round
I would recommend this book to all ages because of its important message, and rate it a 9/10, because of its crucial message and superb illustrations, but it does have same sadder parts which, I think, might upset younger readers.
