Noah, Glossopdale School

Rook is a well written story which has it's pros and cons. It's the third in a story line of books by Anthony McGowan. This book is about two brothers named Nicky and Kenny who rescue a rook left for dead but later on Nicky has bigger fish to fry at school and at home.

Kenny is the other brother, with a learning disability but is determined to keep the injured rook alive. I really liked the sense of emotion and I really felt the characters. I didn't like the fact it had no surprises and was quite predictable.

There was a lot of description in this book especially about the birds and the characters were well presented.

I recommend this to anyone who likes a good story line. However, this book may seem like a quick read, and it seems a bit different from how it's set out (dyslexia friendly) but it is a good book and I recommend this to any ages.
