Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
This story was based around a boy (Prez) and an alien (Sputnik) saving the world from being shrunk. I found this book quite funny as Sputnik did some quite random things but it did have deeper aspects, for instance the fact that Prez had lost both his parents and that his grandpa who he was living with was now unable to look after him. This book was quite fast-paced as the plot mainly kept going but at some points it did seem like nothing much was happening. I did not feel as if I knew Prez as much as I would like to but at some points in the story I did feel quite sorry for Prez about his parents and grandpa. Although it was a good story and was well described I did get a bit confused at some points because the author did not use speech marks for Prez because Sputnik (the alien) could understand his thoughts so sometimes you didn't understand whether they were having a conversation or not. I felt like all questions you may have had throughout the story were answered in the end. Overall I would give this book a 7 out of 10.
