Saint Death

Saint Death was a moving story about the struggle for freedom in Mexico and the pressures of gangs on a small town.

The book is about a boy called Arturo whose closest friend, Faustino, comes back to him after a year of being away with his girlfriend and young baby. He needs Arturo to play a card game to earn a thousand dollars so Faustino can pay back the gang that he stole from.

Overall, I think this is an satisfactory book but not one that I would like a sequel of as I found some of the major twists obvious and some of the characters were too cliched.

I would rate this book 2 out of 5 stars.
