Where the World Ends
Where the world ends in based on a true story set in St Kilda, a group of islands off the coast of Scotland. Every year a group of men and boys set sail and go to a sea stac to harvest the summer plenty (bird meat, eggs and oil) and every year someone comes to take them back to the mainland (Hirta) before the harsh winter starts, but this year no one comes.
I particularly enjoyed how real the boys emotions were, you could really get into the boys shoes and become that character. I also liked how it was based on a true story, it made it more interesting to read. I also enjoyed learning about a new place.
Although I did feel like the book dragged on, especially in the middle. I didn't really want to read on and find out what was happening, it became boring.
Overall I don't think everyone would enjoy this book. If you enjoy adventure books then this would be a good read for you. But I personally didn't enjoy this book very much and wouldn't strongly recommend it.
