Adam, St Anselm's Readers
Wow. What a book! The brilliant present-tense narration carries you directly into Arturo's dark and dangerous world with true authenticity. This narration is interposed with other texts highlighting the root causes of what Arturo and so many others suffer, especially key themes of capitalism and migration; this gives real intellectual depth to the text level narrative. It's brutal, unforgiving, but this is a book which every teenager should read.
