Jude, Forest Hill School Yr9 Shackleton

I thought that Rook was a true and understanding book about what teenagers this century go through. It had a great character : 'Nicky' who had to put up with a lot. I wonder what made the author create such a sophisticated character?
I thought that the issues/problems that 'Nicky' had to go through were smart and came at the worst time for him - which was brilliant.
It's a shame that the book was short but I think that's what made it good.
To conclude I would say that 'Rook' is a powerful and emotional book that could teach you a lot.
