Patrick, Norwich School
Saint Death had an influence on me - it showed that in some parts of the worlds there are horrible things happening to people the same as us.
The plot of the book was extremely good. It was well thought-out and everything tied together nicely through out the book. The flashbacks for the main character, Arturo, were all of his school life and were relatable to what children at school would do. When the book progressed it showed that as he grow up, things got worse. His father tried to kill him, his best friend got in debt with the biggest gang in America and was betting for his friend's life and his very own.
However, the ending for me was a bit anti-climatic. We know what was going to happen to him about three quarters through the book but the other characters just seemed to vanish out of the book.
