Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

The concept of this book was quite original, the pace being rather appropriate. The plot was not as gripping as some of the other books I have read in my lifetime. It targets more of a younger age group than mine. As a result, there was not an astounding amount of detail. However, the characters were unique.

The characters were not stereotypical, as there was an alien that was perceived as a dog to most. I found this idea to be quite different and intriguing. Personally, my favorite character is Sputnik as he is unique and adventurous.

The ending was quite satisfying, as it hinted towards it throughout the book, so it was easier to picture in your mind.

I would personally rate this book at a 7 out of 10, and would recommend this book to an age group of around 8-10 year olds.
