The Stars at Oktober Bend

While I really liked how this book started off, I was quickly confused. Alice's writing is very hard to read, probably due to the lack of capitals and apostrophes in places. I also found the bits of poetry scattered around hard to read, because it;s kind of unclear what they were about. The plot is hard to follow - I'm not exactly sure what was going on half the time.

Despite the confusing writing, I think that it's a beautifully crafted story. I like Alice and her views on the world, and how she understands the people around her, and I almost cried at the end. It's a good book, and I'd give it a 6/10!
