Talia, Highgate Wood School

Beyond the Bright Sea

Beyond the Bright Sea is a good book for a rainy day, and I did enjoy reading it. However, the story line is not really very original, nor is it entirely believable. This is because the plot relies on a lot of things happening simply by chance. Also, I found the plot twists entirely predictable, and that I could predict certain events in Crow's life, five chapters before they actually happened. But I still recommend reading it as it tells an interesting story, despite its flaws.
