The Smell of Other People's Houses

I'm writing a book review on a book called 'The Smell Of Other People's Houses', it's written by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock.

It is very curious book mainly because of the title. But have you ever noticed that everyone's house smells different?

Each chapter in the book is written as if someone else is writing it. These are the characters the chapters are based on.
-Ruth wants to remember.
-Dora wishes she was invisible.
-Alyce can't bring herself to leave.
-Hank is running away.

Personally,I don't think the title of book has anything to do with the book. On the other hand the story is very good.

One thing that puts me of the book is that as the characters get older the writer makes them use swear words. (As if it's Ok for them to use bad words).
It is based in Alaska, 1970, but somehow all these separate lives of the children are in a way, one and the same.
I am only just passed half way through the book, but I'm really enjoying it! I think I have found a winner!
