Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

If you were to classify Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth, you'd describe it as science fiction. However, it's also a very funny book. So you could file it under humour too.
This novel focuses on the time in Prez's life when he meets Sputnik. Whilst Prez sees Sputnik as an alien, everyone else views him as a dog. But what's more important is whether Sputnik will be able to help Prez simplify a life complicated by the loss of his grandfather.
Sputnik's Guide to Life is aimed at children aged nine to 13. It does look like a children's book but it's an absolute page turner for readers of all ages. Highly recommended.
