The Bone Sparrow

This book was brilliantly confusing and extremely enlightening. The plight of refugees worldwide was clearly shown, and the child's perspective of the experience is invaluable. I also loved the fact that it was not set in Europe where so many refugee camps are situated, instead it is in Australia and really gives the impression that this is a worldwide issue that encompasses everyone. The simplicity but accompanying detail of the writing is gorgeous to read, I would recommend this book to children of all ages.
