Wolf Hollow

Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk

This is a mystery set in America that tells of the disappearance of a new-comer to the village called Betty. The story has lots of twist and turns, was quite boring to start with, but once I got reading for a long time I could not put it down. It is also romantic as Betty and Andy fell in love.

I quite liked the idea of when Annabel took Toby up to the barn loft that was high up and kept him there until the police and bloodhounds sniffed him out. I was surprised that they could smell him out as he had just had a wash and had new clothes on.

I didn't like the part when Betty was found (I cant tell any more because I would give the story away) but I felt upset because I didn't expect it.

I think it is aimed at 11+ readers because there are some upsetting parts in the story.

In the end I liked it and I would give it 9/10
