Jacob, Keep Calm and Carry on Reading 2017

The Stars at Oktober Bend

At the start of the book, there were no capital letters and the short phrases confused me and it was not easy to understand. But I found that once I got in my head that there are no capital letters in most of the chapters told by Alice Nightingale it was actually quite a good book. When Manny is introduced it makes the book better as there is a good bond between him and Alice and I think that a reader can link to them. The chapters told around Manny also uses capital letters. It had a very emotional and upsetting ending, but I would definitely recommend this book to someone who wants a challenging read.
