I found this book very good with great use of vocabulary, showing the problems that faced Mexico with the gangs ruining peoples lives, and poverty stricken throughout many parts of Mexico. The mix of Spanish and English give an idea of how people there would communicate, with special names of animals which people knew were the people who could get them over to America, known in the book as 'the land of the free'. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book because it was thrilling to read how Arturo and his best friend Faustino's life was hanging in the balance, and the ways Arturo could receive the money to free both Faustino and himself.
