Salt to the Sea
Salt to the sea tells the story of four young people during WW2, Alfred, Emilia , Joana and Florian. All of them are in difficult situations, trying to escape from the horrors of war. They all meet up at some point during the story, and they all play a part in the fate of each other.
The person's story I most enjoyed reading about in this novel was Florian's , as it really fascinated me, and made me want to keep turning the pages. Emilia's story had a similar effect, as learning about her , a Polish girl, traumatised and afraid, was heart touching and it really made think about the people who had similar experiences during the war, and how awful it must have been for them.
I enjoyed reading Salt to the Sea, and it had an exciting story line and it was very interesting to learn more about the past. it took me a while to get properly into the tory though , as it was very confusing at the start, what with so many people narrating it was hard to piece together the order of events when I had only just started to get to know the characters.
