Rocky S, Stanley library

The illustrations at the beginning and end of this book are very colourful. We particularly like the way the leaves change colour as the seasons change - this makes the trees look very realistic; a nice place for animals to live. In the middle of the book when Pete is tidying up too much, the colours change to brown and grey. It is as if the forest has died and the animals look terrified. We also liked the copyright page where Pete appears to be sucking words towards him with the hoover nozzle. Our group really loved all of the illustrations in this book.
