Daniella, Skinners' Kent Academy Shadowers

Salt to the Sea

This book, my first one, is in my top three favourite books of the Carnegie Medal. This is because I love historical fiction. I love the fact that it is in different views. One a Polish girl, a nurse, a German sailor and an East Prussian boy. It gives different opinions about the countries and how they view each other. It was confusing to see who's who. But in the end, it was really sad. It was pretty thorough research and it taught me a bit more about WW2, like the Amber Room. In conclusion, this book is number 3 out of all the books.
