Roxanne, Chobham Academy Book Group
First of all, I have to admit that the description in Rail Head was beautiful and unwavering throughout the whole book. But, the story line and characters were cliches. A young protagonist comes form poverty to save the world, whilst growing up, making mistakes and falling in love...ever heard that before?! It's lack of authenticity makes it painful to read - but the dystopian world was flawlessly imagined as if it was real. So, as I said, some elements were good but overall i did not enjoy reading the book.
