Shannon, Heritage Hive Heroes
Wolf Hollow is an intensely moving book that applies some of the common problems for young teens, such as bulling, today and portrays them in the past. It follows the story of a young girl named Annabel, during the time of the Second World War, who is struggling to deal with her problems on her own. And her bully has threatened her if she tries to tell anyone else about her problems. A strange man by the name of Toby came into the town and over time Annabel become closer eventually becoming good friends. So when Betty goes missing and Toby is blamed it is up to Annabel to prove his innocence on a journey that will have her braking more than one or two rules. As far as unexpected and unpredictable turns go this one tops them, as no sooner where you positive of a certain event happening then a piece of information was thrown in that changed not only the characters but their problems too. It is a powerful emotional book that I have high hope for becoming an increasingly grossing story with young adults. I have no doubt many will look up to Annabelle for her courage, determination and sense of loyalty. An incredible thought provoking read.
