Hayley, Christ's Shadowers
This is a book I found quite gripping. I liked how it was rare to have a book set on the America-Mexican border. However, I found it quite dark and there was not anything funny or witty to lighten the mood. It was written like nothing I have ever read before, about St. Death who is almost a god in Anapra. I did not enjoy reading it, partly because Arturo, the main character makes some stupid decisions and also because I found it quite predictable.
It is a good book for someone who is looking for a new perspective but it is not winning material.
