The Bone Sparrow
Many might look at this book and think this sounds like a sad, maybe even boring old novel... but it's really very good; heart-breaking, humorous, exciting and a few joyous moments as well.
It's set in a detention centre, from the perspective of a miserable young boy, Subhi. Kept from going insane by his magical night sea, Subhi longs for a future... And then there's comical, young Jimmie(who lives a broken life on the hill) still haunted by her mother and the tales of the bone sparrow.
However, Subhi's life is changed forever when he meets Jimmie...
